REVIEW: ViewSonic VP2250wb
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
The 21,6-inch widescreen VP2250wb belongs to ViewSonic’s VP series and offers – like all monitors in the VP series – a complete range of ergonomic adjustment options. This differentiates it from many rival monitors, which only have a tilting function.
The screen diagonal of 21.6 inches is rather unusual in the 22-inch class, but the 0,4-inch difference from a "real" 22-inch monitor is not noticeable in practice, or can only be seen when you stand directly beside the monitor.
The professional touch of the VP2250wb is not any the more surprising because the VP series is aimed at users with high demands or for professional use in the office and graphics areas.
The VP2250wb is equipped with a fast-responding TN panel the Overdrive of which can be adjusted to one of two levels. The LCD monitor offers a dynamic contrast of 3,000:1 and a static contrast of 1,000:1.
The VP2250wb is delivered securely and well packaged in a stable box.
In the following extensive test, we will establish where the strengths and weaknesses of the ViewSonic VP2250wb lie. We tested the monitor in PC mode with a Sapphire Radeon X1950 XTX and an XFX GeForce 8800GTX. In addition, we used a Philips DVD-Player DVP5980 and a Sony PlayStation 3.
