REVIEW: Fujitsu Siemens P24-1W
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
With the P24-1W, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has launched a large 24 inch widescreen LCD monitor which is targeted at professionals. The native resolution of 1.920 x 1.200 is supposed to facilitate applications that require lots of desktop space, e.g. CAD, computer animation, and graphic design.
We thoroughly tested the performance of the FSC P24-1W in daily practice and looked at how well it handles DVD, video, and gaming.
All results issued in this review have been established using the digital input. Except for the test runs for analog image quality, which have been established on the analog input. All tests have been conducted using a Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro and two Point of View GeForce 7800GTX 512MB (SLI mode)
The scope of supply of the Fujitsu Siemens P24-1W contains the following: One short setup guide, two CDs, one DVI-D cable (digital), one D-Sub cable (analog), one USB cable, one audio cable, one power cable, as well as one cover plate for the signal inputs.
The driver and utility CD contains the Windows monitor driver, a detailed manual in PDF format, Adobe Reader software, WinZip 9.0 software, and the test and configuration utility LCD-Adjust. The second CD contains the screen manager software DisplayView Version 1.0.
