Introduction
IntroductionHe looks good and is a tough survivor: we're not talking about Bruce Willis, but rather Asus' latest jewel, the 20" LS201 from the Luxury Series. Not only does this monitor's highly polished housing gleam from practically every angle, but it's also equipped with a scratch-resistant, highly reflective crystal face.
Also rather unusual is the use of a TN panel with a resolution of 1440 x 1050 pixels, which means the pixel size is what is normally found in a 19" display. Not to be blinded by the chic optics, we examined the inner value of the Asus LS201 under the microscope.

We tested the 20" TFT on a system equipped with an XFX Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS Extreme. We conducted all tests using the graphic card digital input, with the exception of analog picture stability.
Scope of supply
Delivered in a cool black box, the display is packed absolutely fingerprint-free; every inch of the Asus LS201 is covered in shrinkwrap, and the faceplate is additionally covered with a clear plastic protective sheet. The numerous stickers on the case can be easily removed; however, for our test we left them on.
Perfectly protected: the Asus LS201 is completely covered in shrinkwrap.
