REVIEW: Eizo HD2441W-TS Part 12

As the diagrams show, the reproducible colour space of the HD2441W-TS des not come close to the Adobe-RGB colour space. With the sRGB colour space, it is a different story – here, the HD2441W-TS covers the colour space very well.

Finally, we tested the Eizo HD2441W-TS for suitability for professional graphics applications according to the UGRA criteria. The only point the Monitor did not pass in was MultiColor - and given the standard backlight without an extended colour space, this is not surprising.

Summary of the UGRA certification protocol. The detailed UGRA report can be downloaded here as a PDF document.

The subjective image quality of the HD2441W-TS is excellent – but this is not surprising for a model with a 10 Bit LUT and internal 14-Bit –calculation accuracy. Unfortunately, the HD2441W-TS does not have an extended colour space and as a result, it does not nearly cover the Adobe-RGB colour space. When it comes to the sRGB colour space, the monitor provides very good coverage and it also passes the test for UGRA certification.

The Eizo HD2441W-TS has not been declared to be a graphics monitor, but rather Eizo is presenting it as a multimedia monitor with very good image quality. However, its performance means that we consider the HD2441W-TS suitable for semi-professional graphics work.

Applications

A 24-inch widescreen monitor with a native resolution of 1.920 x 1.200 pixels offers a lot of space for space-intensive applications. Whether it is CAD (Computer Aided Design), 3D modelling, desktop publishing, table calculation or working with a wide range of documents, the Eizo HD2441W-TS demonstrates its ability for all of these tasks.

In 3D modelling with MoI3D, there is sufficient space for four viewing windows and the large menu bar on the right hand side of the picture.
