With the B223W, Acer is bringing a new TN panel model to the highly contested 22-inch sector of the market. The traditional target group for 22-inch monitors with TN panels is gamers who play fast action games and need a fast-responding panel as well as office users.

The Acer B223W comes from the Business series, which is why there is a B at the start of the model number. The Business series models come with important ergonomic features which are generally lacking in models from series for home and private users.

The bare specifications do not indicate that Acer can set itself apart from its many rivals with the B223W. However, the model’s features still include ergonomic features such as height adjustment and a pivot function, which are not a given in the 22-inch sector.

All test results were obtained on the digital input of an Asus 8800GTX. An iScan VP50Pro was used to test the monitor’s video functions.
