REVIEW: Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS-1
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
With the ProLite B2409HDS-1, iiyama is bringing a Full HD monitor to the market which is being advertised as a business and multimedia model with a screen diagonal of 24 inches in 16:9 format as well as good ergonomic features. The base, with its height adjustment feature, should offer the flexibility required in the office in particular.
With a resolution of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels, Blu-ray material can be displayed in its native format. The 24-inch model offers the obligatory D-Sub and DVI video inputs as well as he increasingly more important HDMI input, in order to connect NextGen consoles or Blu-ray players with the model.
In addition, the response time of 5 ms (black-white-black) and 2 ms (grey-to-grey) should also awaken the interest of gamers. The very low price of around 230,00 Euro and the tasteful technical data make the iiyama ProLite B2409HDS a real 22-inch alternative, at least on paper.
Packaging of the Iiyama B2409HDS with carrying handle.
The iiyama ProLite B2409HDS arrives securely packed and padded. As well as the 24-inch screen, the box contains the base, a power, DVI and D-Sub cable, a detailed user guide, an audio cable and two screws for attaching the base to the monitor. The latter attach the rotating plate to the pillar located on the LCD monitor and are screwed into the rotating plate. Once this is done, the LCD is ready for use.
