The trend towards larger and larger screens continues, so it is no wonder that there are already a large number of LCD monitors to choose from in the 24-inch class. In contrast to the NEC 2690WUXi we tested recently, which is designed for graphics work, Dell’s 27-inch monitor should serve the entire multimedia palette thanks to its numerous additional inputs and features.
The Dell 2707WFP with sound bar located under the frame. This is available as an optional extra and does not come as part of the monitor’s scope of supply. The sound bar includes two headphone connections and a sound control.
However, the monitor will appeal to graphics artists as well because of its large colour space. Together with its elegant design, this means that the Dell 2707WFP should establish itself in the new all-round sector. Is this the perfect LCD monitor? This is what we tested in detail.
All test results published were obtained via the digital input except the analogue image quality, which was tested via an analogue connection. We used a Sapphire Radeon X1950 XTX and an XFX GeForce 8800GTX for testing.
