REVIEW: Eizo L778-k
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
Eizo is presenting the L778-K with Overdrive technology as a novelty. The Overdrive Technology is based on a predicted, intelligent switch of pixels. Together with a regulated overmodulation a high but short voltage surge is initiated every time a crystal is being aligned which results in the liquid crystals having more energy available for overcoming their inertia and for aligning themselves. The response time behavior of VA panels is significantly accelerated by means of this Overdrive Technology.
In this review we want to clarify whether the new 19 inch Eizo L778-K represents an alternative to the gaming capable S-IPS panels.
The Eizo permits to be adjusted in height (see right picture). You can clearly notice the speakers integrated at the sides (see left picture).
All results issued in this review have been established using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality, which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/2600 Golden Sample and a Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card.
