Introduction

With the new version of the VP171, Viewsonic offers an LCD with 8ms response time, now too. It is particularly gamers that are creating this high demand for fast LCD monitor. Let's see how this gadget actually performs in this review.

All results issued in this review have been established by using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Xelo GF5200 graphics card.

The Viewsonic VP171s at minimum and maximum height.

Scope of supply

The display is accompanied by a Quick Start Guide, a D-Sub cable, an 18+1 DVI-D cable, a power cable and two CD-ROMs.
