Introduction

The Viewsonic VX924 is part of the most recent generation of displays which receive record response times of 4 ms grey-to-grey by combining a TN panel with the Overdrive technology. In today’s review we want to establish the Viewsonic VX924’s position among other displays concerning games and multimedia performance.

All results issued in this review have been established by using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/2600 Golden Sample graphics card.

Scope of supply

The ViewSonic VX924 comes with quick instructions, a CD, a power cable, D-Sub cable as well as DVI-D cable. Next to drivers, the accompanying CD contains the detailed, longer version of the manual in PDF format.

There is no detailed manual in printed form. The missing manuals are currently omitted by nearly all manufacturers. While we are not too pleased with this trend, it can be lived with and is probably due to the prevalent pricing pressure.
