Overall, the interpolation behaviour on the Eizo EV2333WH can be seen as good, but we have seen better results from Eizo in this regard. The 1:1 display makes up for almost any flaw, although the graphics card must provide support for some resolutions.
Advertisement The Eizo EV2333WH does not offer any option to influence the image sharpness, but it does offer 1:1 display. Thus, sharpness regulation is not really necessary. Eizo indicates a response time of 7 milliseconds grey to grey for the EV2333WH. In order to make the monitor attractive for gamers as well, overdrive can be activated at two levels and ensures a faster response tome. In the factory settings, "Standard" is active. "Improved" is what Eizo calls the highest level and overdrive can also be deactivated completely using the "Off" setting. First, the positive impressions: we noticed no corona effects, regardless of what level of overdrive is selected. The image quality is also flawless. Very nice colours and a contrast-rich image are an obvious strength of the Eizo EV2333WH again and again.
Screenshot from the ego shooting game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Unfortunately, streak formation is a large flaw in the EV2333WH and is literally a hair in the soup. We do not recommend deactivating overdrive even for occasional gamers; indeed, we would like to say that anything other than the highest level cannot be recommended and even then, sometimes very pronounced streaks can be seen in fast movements such as those that appear in shooting or racing games, especially for hard contrasts (dark on bright). Thus fact alone disqualifies the Eizo EV2333WH for hardcore gamers.
