Introduction
After the NEC LCD2690WUXi and the Dell 2707WFP, we have now tested a further monitor on the far side of the 24-inch class, the Samsung 275T, which draws attention to itself because of its extended colour space. However, unlike NEC’s 26-inch model, the Samsung 27-inch LCD features one of the manufacturer’s own S-VPA panels rather than an S-IPS panel.

How the Samsung monitor performs is all the more exciting: can it match the NEC 2690WUXi in the graphics sector, is the 275T better suited to multi-media fans or will it manage to assert itself as a true-blue all-rounder in both areas?
Except for the analogue image quality, which was tested via the analogue connection (D-Sub VGA), all test results published here were obtained in digital mode via DVI-D. We used an Nvidia GeForce 7800GT graphics card with two DVI-I outputs.
Scope of supply
The Samsung 275T is delivered in a simple cardboard box and can easily be lifted out of the packaging and set up, despite its considerable size.
