REVIEW: Iiyama ProLite E2201W-B1
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
With its E2201W-B1, Iiyama is bringing the successor of the popular E2200WS-B1 to the market. The new model also contains a fast TN (Twisted-Nematic) panel. However, compared to the previous model, the response time has been further improved according to the manufacturer. The manufacturer has decided not to include integrated speakers in the E2201W-B1.
In the following detailed review, we will clarify whether the Iiyama E2201W-B1 can really top its predecessor and outperform the other 22-inch competition.
Apart from the analogue image playback quality, which we tested on the analogue (VGA) connection of the model, all test results published here were received via the digital signal input. We used an ATI Sapphire Radeon X1950 PRO 512 MB with the latest driver software.
The scope of supply for the Iiyama E2201W-B1 includes a power cable, a D-Sub cable for the analogue signal transfer and a DVI-D cable for the digital signal transfer. A detailed multi-lingual user guide is included with the model in hard copy. The scope of supply does not include software, drivers or PDF manual, but these are available on the Iiyama website for download. A plastic clip for cable routing completes the scope of supply.
