With the SyncMaster 245T, Samsung is bringing a model in the increasingly popular 24-inch widescreen class to the market – a model that has been eagerly awaited since CeBIT 2007.
The Samsung 245T with its S-PVA panel is the first model to be equipped with an impulse-driven backlight. The 24-inch monitor comes with a response time of 6 ms, HDMI, video inputs and MPA technology, as the sticker on the frame shows.
The 24-inch model comes with a 6 ms response time, HDMI, video inputs and MPA technology, as the sticker on the frame shows.
In addition, Samsung advertises the monitor as having a 15 percent extended colour space so that the LCD monitor could also be of interest to graphics workers. Numerous video inputs and a HDMI input are also present for multimedia use.
Apart from the analogue image playback quality, which we tested on the analogue (VGA) connection of the monitor, all test results published here were obtained via the digital signal input (DVI-D). We tested the monitor on an Nvidia 6600 GT and an 8800 GTS Extreme, both with the latest driver.
